Before you can start developing, deploying and distributing your projects and product, you need to create and configure a Flinkwerk account. Creating an account is free.

Buyers purchase products available in Flinkwerk Marketplace.

Flinkwerk ships with ready-made CI/CD routines which enable you to automatically deploy your Flinkwerk projects to Kubernetes clusters without expert knowledge.

Flinkwerk deploys projects and related applications to Kubernetes clusters which you define in the Flinkwerk Config file.

Dependencies are applications or resources required by your Flinkwerk project at runtime.

Deployment with Flinkwerk is as easy as configuring your project in the Flinkwerk Config and running flinkwerk deploy in Flinkwerk CLI.

Flinkwerk's flexible configuration allows you to define custom domains for preview URLs, as well as your project application and each application dependency of a project.

Environments describe where code is deployed.

You can base your project or product on another product in Flinkwerk Marketplace. For example, if you want to create a WordPress application, configure the following in your Flinkwerk project configuration:

Flinkwerk Marketplace is a curated digital catalog available at marketplace.flinkwerk.com that makes it easy for you to sell, share and buy cloud applications and resources as an integral part of your DevOps workflow.

You can access your deployed project as well as its deployed application dependencies through preview URLs which will be created by Flinkwerk automatically.

Every component relevant to a cloud business can be offered and obtained as a product through Flinkwerk Marketplace.

In a Flinkwerk project, you develop software and define its deployment and distribution in the project configuration file.

A container registry is a repository, or collection of repositories, used to store container images for container-based application development.

Resources are cloud instances such as clusters or registries.

The Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) is the unique identifier of a product in Flinkwerk Marketplace or a product outside of it (e.g. the name of a Helm chart).

Vendors are individual accounts who sell or share products based on projects they own in Flinkwerk Marketplace.

Application products in Flinkwerk Marketplace are available per release version.
